We are pleased to announce that a collaborative research paper, led by our intern Emi Miyashita as first author and our CTO Richard Kaoru Komatsu as corresponding author, has been published in Nature Communications.

This study was conducted in collaboration with Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, Kyoto University and Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials, Tohoku University.

The paper is titled:

“Systematic identification of variant-specific RNA structure–small molecule interactions exemplified by RNA G-quadruplexes.”

In this work, the research team developed a novel technology called BIVID-MaP, which enables large-scale detection of RNA-binding motifs. Using this method, the team successfully identified variant-specific compound binding at single-nucleotide resolution, representing a significant advancement in the analysis of RNA–small molecule interactions.

The paper has been published in Nature Communications.
